Eagle Mountain GI/MM-008

We decided to climb Eagle Mountain on Thursday 14 September, rain showers were forecast, but it seemed to be the best day to proceed with our plans. The route was from Sandy Road and up the Great Gully, along the cliff tops to the summit. This path provided stunning photographic opportunities and the sunlight in between rain showers heightened the colours in the environment.

The following photographs were taken as we proceeded along the Great Gully.

Having arrived on the summit it was windy and cold, FM contacts were made and on being told that conditions on 40m were not good we decided not to transmit on HF. The following is a record of the contacts made.
