This is a quick summary report - I will post something more detailed when I get back home.
The trip up was uneventful and I found a nice flat area at the top which was pretty sheltered from the prevailing wind. My heavy duty guy stakes plus hammer worked a treat and setting up the mast and delta loops did not give any problems. Weather was cloudy but warm in the morning and I even got some very light rain. By lunchtime the sun appeared and temp got up to about 24C.
Mark, EA8/M0NOM/P, was first in the log at 0900 utc on 10m on LA-026, south of me. For the rest of the day I moved between 20,17 and 15m. 10m seemed pretty quiet. Loads of chasers - thank you. 19 S2S including 2 separate ones with Stefan HB9HCS/P and a transatlantic one with W1DMH on 15m. As far as DX was concerned, 17 and 15 provided the majority, with W1OW best on 20m. 17m produced N8XGS Mich, W9AV Wisc, N3DL Penn and 15m ZS2ABE, AC1Z NH, AE4FZ NC, KN3Y Fla, KA5PNX Neb and K4DY NC. It was also nice to work Brian MM1HMZ who will be arriving in Lanzarote next week and Paul 2M1EUB whom I normally work on 2m from Scottish summits in Aberdeenshire. I also worked IK2LEY from a summit and also from his home QTH. I was forced to go QRT at 1530 utc as my battery ran out of juice - pity, as 15m was very lively.
Thanks to all, including my XYL Rachel, who carried my water and lunch to the summit before heading down to do her own thing. She took this photo - yours truly next to the decorative summit marker before setting the station up.
