EA2 activators weekend report

Although a lot of rain has visited us at EA2, the SOTA men and women have done a nice number of activations. Apart the case of Iñaki EB2GKK who is spending his holidays to activate, a few hours ago, the highest summit of the brand new association of EA6… He has had anything to do with our rainy days :-/

As it is said around here, “The donkey goes the first”. Marcial EA2BDS and the efforted one who is writting this, have done three summits, sadly not on VK times. Yesterday two at Navarre and the last one today at Burgos (EA1).

(well, this is not more than an optical effect. Actually my other leg was on the path… but it seems to be quite risky, isn’t it?)

Marcial EA2BDS at Monjardin

Yesterday, we had a plus, as we payed a visit to a very active activator and chaser of Navarre Guru EA2IF. As we have been riding around his zone, he was so kind to invite us to visit his village, Muruzabal, the surroundings, and, of course his rig. (Not really all QRP)

(EA2BDS -left- EA2IF -center- and… can you guess?)

Those are ours but it was not all. Here you have the list of activators and summits of this very weekend. That was really impressive to me, while watching and listing them on SOTAWATCH… It makes clear that there is a real love for mountaineering and radio around here!

Hi Mikel,
A very commendable number of summits and activators. I like the rock climber photo!
Well done to all.

Thank you, Ron!
Of course the trick is on the left leg… But the activations were real!
I will be apart from the mountains for a while, as last monday I had my left arm “fixed” at the surgery garage -something about a broken biceps- and I’ll have to stay calm for at least 2 weeks.
So by now, time for chasing!
