Apologies for the brinkmanship. You may have noticed little activity from us lately - Vicki has been lame and we both had chest infections. Plans for some epic activations based on Sedberg tuned into a couple of one pointers

Hi all,
just a quick update - so far we have 52 people paid and attending the GW SOTA S2S party and hog roast get together.
I have paid the caterers for the event, and will be covering the toilet costs soon.
If anyone wants to make a last minute appearance, please feel free to do so. EVERYONE is welcome at this event - it’s great to meet new and current activators, as well as chasers and SWL. Please PM me if you wish to come, and haven’t done so already.
I will be putting a message out soon for the raffle we hold every year. This makes money to donate to the SOTA MT to help support the running costs of the servers etc etc each year. So please keep a look out for my post - we have some good prizes this year as per normal if your not attending the event, you can still purchase tickets, and I will add them into the hat, and post your prize!
Thank you all once again for the support - and I really look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday 27th June 2026 in Mid-Wales.

Morning everyone,
Just over a month, and we will be hosting the fifth GW SOTA S2S and hog roast get together in Mid-Wales. To date, we have 55 people paid and confirmed they are attending, this is great news. That doesn’t mean we wouldn’t love for more to just turn up on the day, or even message me over the next week letting me know you’d like to come along and join in the fun - EVERYONE IS STILL WELCOME!!

Hello GWers. Every year for OARC (www.oarc.uk) I arrange a SOTA day for our members. Usually we try to overlap with you guys, or whatever else is going on during June, and this year is no exception. Although the slight change to be more accessible this year is that ANY OTA is in-scope for us. There should be a fair few of us out, hopefully, on a variety of bands/modes, and I’m sure we’ll get a chance to work some of you, and maybe get some S2Ss.

With just under two weeks to go until the GW SOTA S2S and hog roast event, I wanted to share a brief update.
This year will be slightly different: rather than having tea and coffee available on demand, we’re delighted to be welcoming a trailer van, which will arrive at approximately 14:30 and serve coffee, tea, cold drinks, and snacks through to 18:30.
I’ve included a few images in this post,
you may already have spotted the van at Lake Vyrnwy. It has built a very positive reputation across Mid and North Wales. You’ll also find details of the drinks and snacks available, along with a full price list for the day.
If we give them a warm welcome this year, I’m hopeful they’ll be keen to return for future events
I’m very much looking forward to working everyone on air in the morning and catching up in person during the afternoon.

An excellent idea.
Perfect for topping up a thermal mug for the drive home rather than something thats been sloshing around a flask since 6am
Lets hope for dry weather at least till early afternoon, we don’t really care after that
