What a lovely weekend to be out and about.

A great drive out to a summit that was not previously a drive up for me but I took the new car up the track to the summit even getting one wheel totally off the ground at one stage.
While the region has been blanketed in fog, about 30 seconds from the turn off the main road the fog cleared and we were in bright sunshine!
I spent about 2 hours on the summit. The main purpose of the activation was to test all the gear and all the modes that I have in my little tool kit. I am glad I did because it showed some weaknesses I needed to fix on the data side.
This was the first time I have ever made ZERO contacts on 40m SSB - and only one on data - Matt 1MA.

I have to say, it was rather a hard walk for someone that has not been out of the house for months. I was walking with a friend
and managed to get to the summit - for a very short activation - thanks to all the chasers and even the s2s with 1AD.
