DM/BW-078 (Römerstein) and DM/BW-089 (Farrenberg)

Hi everyone,

here is a brief activation report from last weekend. The waether was magnificent and being outdoors was a “must”. For more details, please follow the links below.

DM/BW-078 - Römerstein (872m)
October 12th, 2019; 14:15 – 15:10 UTC
Wx: Sunny, approx. 20°C, few clouds
Ascent/ descent: approx. 40 vertical metres
Walking time 15 min. up, 10 min. down
Rig: KX3 / 10W, 7.2Ah AGM, Palm Pico Paddle
Ant: OCF- dipole for 80m/ 40m/ 20m/ 15m on a 12.5 metre DX-Wire squid pole

3 CW QSOs on 80m
14 CW QSOs on 40m

Activation together with DO1ABT (80m SSB) and DL2ABT (VHF/ UHF FM).

DM/BW-089 - Farrenberg (820m)
October 13th 2019; 12:25 – 13:15 UTC
Wx: Sunny, approx. 20°C, strong winds
Ascent/ descent: approx. 500 vertical metres from Tübingen
Cycling time approx. 90 minutes
Rig: KX3 / 5W, 2200mAh LiPo (3S), Palm Pico Paddle
Ant: EFHW Dipole (40m, 30m, 20m) as inverted L on a 6m GRP Pole

5 CW QSOs on 30m
19 CW QSOs on 40m (4 x S2S)
