Cumbria Weather

In reply to MM0FMF:

Generally the 2nd week in October (8th-15th) has decent weather.
There’s been high pressure and a tropo openings from the UK most years
since I was licenced in 1990 that week.

Saint Luke’s Little Summer - One of the more reliable of Buchan’s fine spells.

Hello Brian

Garway Hill is a delightful little hill, moderate gradient grassy slope, fine views from the top all round, excellent VHF site.

Wentwood is very easy to reach with ample parking nearby, quite flat capped, however, the trig is in the middle of a forest with no views.

The distinctive Skyrrid Fawr has fine views, nice walk on the ridge, however, the section through the forest is quite steep!

Enjoy your activation!
