Congrats on breaking 1K to become the newest W7A Shack Sloth. I just got back from a SOTA get together. We had N5XL, K7JFD, AA4Q, W7DDM, N7QNG, WA7JTM, N7AMA, and myself. We hoisted a brewski to your achievement. It was great to meet some of these guys for the first time.
Welcome to the W7A Shack Sloth Club! Looking at the database, it looks like you broke the barrier on 21/Aug/2013 at 20:56 UTC. This makes you the 5th Sloth in what is turning into a very active W7A Arizona association. Well done!
Since I’m in the database, I see another Jim, K7JFD, is rapidly approaching that same 1k barrier. It looks like we will have the #6 slot filled very soon meaning of course, another chance to get together to celebrate.
Thanks to all that turned out last night for the SOTA get-together. Great bunch of guys in W7A and a good time was had by all.
Congratulations on #6 spot. One day maybe we can all get together for a cup of coffee or beer.K7jfd is back on 40m’s so he shoulb\d be #7 soon Enjoyed last night, it was fun.
Thanks! It appears that there will be other SSs from W7A pretty soon, too. We’ve got lots of local summits here so SOTA is a popular radio program. No to try to do it as a Mountain Goat…
Thanks for the nice post. I’m enjoying the SOTA program and plan to be more active as an activator in our local YV summits. Hope to work/see you at a ham event soon.
Thank you! I’m told that I won the #5 position W7A SS, so now I have to get busy on the Mountain Goat award…looks a bit harder. I guess that the effort will keep me in shape. Bud, N7CW, and I enjoy activation summits up here in YV.
