Christmas / New Year Holiday period activity

Hang on… we haven’t left yet Ed

Hi Paul - whether 12 midnight in the UK & Portugal or 1 am in most of the rest of Western Europe, it’s still late - but … after you’ve seen the last of the New Year fireworks and if you haven’t drunk to many intoxicating drinks (Don’t drive and (over) drive the rig!), a quick check of the bands may bring a surprise or two - I doubt it, but you never know!

Most of the people out for New Years Day in the UK, seem to be going for local contacts by only operating on 80m or 2m. I’m awaiting what I find when I get up in the morning as it’s snowing again here but I hope to be on from Laber mountain, above Oberammergau around 1100 UTC or Noon CET.

73 & Happy New Year Ed.
Actually in Germany we wish people “Ein Guten Rutsch” (a nice slide) into the new year. If the roads freeze tonight I think a lot of drivers might not really want that “Rutsch”.
