Chasers, what bands do you have access too?

160m through 6m plus 2m and 70cm here.
When I start activating it will be 40m, 30m, 20m, 2m & 70cm.

Hey Aaron,

I have been putting up 2 antennas on summits recently. My linked dipole for 20/30/40 and a 41’ EFRW with 17’ counterpoise. This has been GREAT, and only takes an extra 5 mins.

I have been doing some A/B testing and the EFRW is usually about 1 S-unit down compared to the dipole. Most of the time I don’t need that extra S unit, but I sure did last Saturday when I had a couple of S2S with W4C stations - they were weak on the dipole and non-existent on the EFRW.

The EFRW works great on all the bands 40 thru 10 with my KX2 (with tuner) and gives me instant band changes. I worked some east coast and DX on 17 and 15 with the EFRW last Saturday. I have tried 60 a few times and not made many contacts, but I would really need a longer wire to be efficient there.

The higher bands have been open quite a bit recently, so you should definitely consider something like an EFRW.
