We have the Sloth at 1000 points, the Super-Sloth at 10,000 points, so I hereby suggest that Roy becomes enthroned as the first Hyper-Sloth!
Great!!!

In reply to G4OOE:
I haven’t checked, but knowing Roy it will be single mode - cw. Fantastic achievement!
In reply to G4OOE:
Quite an amazing achievement. Well done Roy. Your key must be worn out
Best wishes
Mike
Call “CQ SOTA” anywhere between 7.030 and 7.035 MHz CW, and Roy gets you and spots you faster than the skimmer - respect!
I see Roy hasn’t yet updated his log today, but I would be surprised if he hasn’t collected those final 50 points he needed for 10^5 / 100Sloth / 10Super.
Congrats.

In reply to M1EYP:
Not quite there yet Tom.
Lack of CW activators and generally poor conditions limited me to just 25 points today.
Now on 99,975 chaser points, so require another 25 points, maybe tomorrow, or Friday.

In a way, pleased Roy. Today was not a SOTAing day for us, but a surprise improvement in the wx forecast means that tomorrow hopefully will be. So hoping to contribute from Slieve Muck GI/MM-007 tomorrow morning.

Well done Roy,as said that’s a lot of pounding.73 Don.G0RQL.
Presumably today will be THE day. Many congratulations Roy! Always a pleasure to work you.
From my home I often hear you work activators that I can’t hear anything of, so I should never be surprised to hear you call me on 10MHz when the rest of the contacts are from around Europe. I am sure you defy propagation!

Roy, as usual, was first to respond on 40m CW from Slieve Muck GI/MM-007 this morning. I asked him if he had reached 100,000 yet. He replied “No, not yet”, but that was around 9am, so now might be a different story!

I think Roy hit the magic number by working F/HB9AFI/P on F/AB-561 at 11:05. Such a suitable summit too, with it being its maiden activation.
Congratulations Roy!

Congratulations on your amazing achievement.
It was really nice to meet you at the Norbreck rally this year.

Congratulations to Kurt HB9AFI for providing a critical QSO!
Oh, while I’m here many congratulations to Roy for your monumental and (a few years ago) seemingly impossible milestone of 100,000 chaser. One terrific achievment and he finds time to spot everybody CW too!
This is one result (and there are others) down to a lifetime of professional CW use, including sailing the world as a Marconist on British Petroleum Tankers and a few decades at the ‘coal face’ of a certain government run establishment.
Roy was not 10 years as the RSGB’s Chief Morse Examiner for nothing either! Just how he digs out activators using 2 Watts in far flung countries with his modest setup is a mystery to me but he rarely admits defeat.
Scarborough’s 145.400 will never by quite as exciting as it has been this past week.
Well done Roy; it’s now quite safe to break off for food and even a haircut! Enjoy the warm glow. You certainly earned it!
