Approximately 100 activators will find their scores wrong as the bonus points are currently broken. The error was caused by some fat-finger trouble by your (in)competent database manager. In addition all new activator logs uploaded will be scored without bonus points.
I shall now back this out and try to restore things to as they were early today.

I do want my bonus points especially for GW/MW-013 Corndon Hill today. The hail stones were sharp and it felt like being grit blasted alive! Any activation in a survival shelter hiding behind the cairn sounds like a winter bonus one. HI.
The morning’s forecast for dry weather brought the activators out from their hidey holes across England today. I had a great time on Pole Bank and Stiperstones in the morning. I hope all SOTA folks enjoyed themselves and thanks to the chasers and S2S with Matt, Geoff and Adrian.

Well I have a fix for the missing data and I have a fix for the bug in the code.
I’ve tested them locally. Hey, I tested the last update locally and we saw how well that went. Always have a WHERE clause when you do an UPDATE, I had one. Always dry run the UPDATE locally and check the output, I did that. Of course what I didn’t do was check the correct output. There was a message “(86899 row(s) affected)” instead of “(910 row(s) affected)”, I didn’t read it.
So I need to fix the bug on the real server. Then I need to get prove my local fix works. Several times. Then push that to server.
There’ll be the odd interuption in service and I’ll post a message when it’s sorted.
People can stop emailing me now that their bonus is missing… I know!

The missing bonus data is restored into the database. I practiced this many times at home before going near the liver server. That’s the good news.
The bad news the activator database needs rescoring to bring the database points back. Given that I’m going to do that when I correctly fix the W6 bonus points (which is how this all started) I don’t want rescore it now and again in a few hours/days when the W6 bonus points are fixed.
This means that for a little longer you may have no bonus points showing. However if you enter an activation, it will be scored correctly and your bonus points will come back. Suffer with me for a bit and it will all be shiny again.
