Bois de Javingue

Monday, 26/05/25, ON/ON-019. I was in the neighbourhood because of my daughters challenge on 24/05/25 of a 120 km. cycling tour. As grandparents: we are always stand-by to look after our grandchild Vico, son of paralympic athlete, Peter Genyn. The day after, time to blew of the dust of my SOTA equipment. With my “old and faithfull” resonant 20m. End Fed, I’ve made 5 QSO’s in 15 minutes, on the old fashion way, just calling CQ SOTA on 14.330 - ssb.

With the info of @ON7DQ and @ON4UP it was no problem for me to find the wright approach to the summit (road: Sur Baulet).

For my camperVAN, I’ve chosen the parking plot nearby the cemetery of Ambly (Commonwealth War Graves).

With the remembrance on Sergeant A.E.Meekings in my mind (wireless operator WW2), I motivated myself to go on bike to the summit. In order to my age: on foot every last 10 m. up to each hill, helmed (?) and full speed, down hill.
