Birthday Activation

Many thanks to all Chasers who wished me Happy Birthday on my activation of G/CE-005 Wendover Woods on 22nd March - where I reached the dizzy heights of 60 years. I have already experienced a senior moment during the activation when I kept saying Golf Stroke Sierra Echo Zero Zero Five instead of Charlie Echo Zero Zero Five. Appologies to anyone who copied down the wrong reference.

I can recommend Wendover Woods as a very easy activation and it was most pleasant in the sunshine operating from a bench seat within the flat activation zone overlooking a lovely view. There are lots of great walks and bike trails to enjoy once you have completed your activation.

I had great fun on 40M and then 12M, clocking up nearly 100 contacts. Also managed to accumulate 40 chaser points from 7 S2S.

An excellent way to enjoy a birthday, even a significant milestone one.

Belated Birthday greetings, Adrian. Certainly agree with you on Wendover Woods, when I was there last year I was entertained by a Spitfire for about 20 minutes and later by Gliders who were low enough to hear the airflow over the fuselage.

Nice Cafe but gave Go Ape a miss.
