OK, this thread got me to thinking, is a FT82-43 toroid suitable for a choke balun with rg-174. That’s all I have hand at the moment. (I put my others away for safe keeping ) Planned power would be 40 watts max but would be around 25 ish.

I know, it is not very nice or even professional but when I made my link dipole without balun the adjustment was very difficult and the problems of common mode began to be noticed after 10watts. With this, the adjustment of each band was easy and I eliminated the common mode issues.
