Bad for Chasers today

Yes. But both services are still up and SW3 is still evolving.

We want to encourage people to switch to using the SSO based services but switch at a manageable rate. That because there can be issues with how their software is configured that breaks how it works and how we migrated over 10000 accounts. If people switch over when they get a nudge such as reading this thread etc. then the number of “help” messages we get is only a few and is manageable.

The day is coming (in 2020) when the old DB will be retired. As will SW2. At that point we will have switched over from the old legacy software (some of which is 15years old) to all new shiny software running on modern technologies. In the web world, software ideas change at a frightening rate and it’s due to the fact the old software we have was well designed all those years ago that we have been able to keep it going. Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 will have come and gone whilst we have run the same codebase.

We’ll drop the Beta at some point
