Apologies to all for the very short (10 min) activation today from EI/IS-031 by John EI3ISB and myself. We had just sent out first CQ when I got a phone call about a family emergency and had to leave almost straight away. We know we left a big pileup so will return another day to activate this summit.

Hi Richard,

thanks for that. Yes things seem to be ok for the moment. Tricky business when you are an hour and a half walk from the car and then two hours drive but the summit will still be there when I go back.

Hi Declan, you should never need to apologise. SOTA is only a hobby. There are many reasons an activator might need to cut an activation short on summit or even cancel it before they get there. No reasonable chaser should get upset no matter how much they want to ‘bag’ that particular summit - even if they never get to find out why it happened.
