Anquet are selling all 1:50000 digital maps for half price in January.
The whole of Great Britain on DVD for £82.50 must be a bargain.
It cost me £100 in the sale 2 years ago!

£82.50 not £62.50 but bearing in mind the normal full price of £165 still a bargain. I use ‘the other one’ myself but digital mapping is worth it weight in gold especially when an activation is on the corner of four OS maps and you can just print out the bit you need on one sheet and you don’t have to worry if it gets weather worn.

That’s not a bad price. The annoying thing with Anquet is they have no upgrade pricing for people who have bought already. There’s no reward for being a loyal customer, you simply have to buy new maps.
I’m constantly surprised how many changes there are based on the latest on-line OS maps and my 2006 Anquet. The major changes in Southern and Central Soctland being that huge areas of forest plantation are now being harvested and the number of windfarms and their access roads being built.
Still it’s worth thinking about.

I downloaded this several months ago and find it very good, easy to use, and user friendly. Haven’t delved too deep into the software but I certainly find it as good as, if not better than some of the others.

Yes - I think digital mapping is falling in price, partly due to the governments determination to make OS Map data available for free once the consultation period currently happening runs through.
I bought the Anquet 1:25000 OL27 North York Moors Eastern area in their half price 1:25000 February sale for £13.76 the other night and downloaded it from their server. Also got an extra 5% off using voucher code AWCD5 see:
