Well done on motivating so many operators to get out to the summits. Although up to 200Km apart it seems in many cases, when a contact was made, it was often 5-9 so perhaps more tests with less effective aerials might be in order the get a better comparison. If there were problems between the various DMR simplex handhelds of course that’s another factor.
As you said at the start at low signal strengths (I think) Analogue FM will work better as the human ear can pull words out of the noise, where digital might simply give up.
Once again, well done on organising this test and presenting your results, even if you still have some open questions.
