Thank you for your kind posts about achieving Mountain Goat.

My journey started and ended on Stony Man in the Shenandoah National Park because my late father was part of the crew with the Civil Conservation Corps working to build the trail to the summit back in the 1930’s. The earliest memories of hiking I have were riding up to that summit on my Dad’s shoulders as a kid back in the 1960’s. So, it was a summit of significance to me in more ways than one.

Thanks to all the folks that take the time out of your day to chase the summits and to all the folks behind the scenes that help to keep the program working.

I look forward to making contact with you all again on the journey to MG #2.
