Thanks for the nice post. What struck me the most about Bob reaching this milestone was that he was able to clinch 5k with his daughter summit to summit. Once again, thank you so much for your post. It was a great honor to be part of this milestone event.

Congratulations on this accomplishment, Bob. I think there should be a title associated with that level, and I am reminded of a mountain creature I have seen at The Perch tent platforms on the side of Mt. Jefferson - how about Summit Weasel?
And as others have mentioned, the W1 campout was a great success, and I saw old friends, made new friends, and learned things from everyone with whom I spoke. THANK YOU.

Thank you again for all the recognition of my reaching 5X MG milestone. It took me over 9 years and 804 activations in 56 SOTA Regions to get over 5000 activator points but it seems like I just started! Looking forward to continuing as long as I can Hi. To Paul N1ZF, who I have enjoyed jointly activated with many times and is soon to reach 3XMG: not sure about giving different names for 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X MG’s … probably less confusing if we stick to the (X)MG milestone label Hi. 73 Bob AC1Z

Whether it be the time you spend managing 5 regions in W1, organizing camp outs, documenting obscure paths and trail heads, or your willingness to share operating tips and equipment advise, your impact on our sport will be felt for many years to come.
