A nice day on Monte Arpone I/PM-353

Today was a very nice day after rain and wind of the last 2 days. So I went to Monte Arpone I/PM-353 to collect 6 points toward my first (and last) MG (now only 15 points to reach the goal!). With my friend Antonio (IX1DYA) we made some tests on a pair of antennas for VHF just home made last week: a Slim Jim and a 3el Yagi.
Good performance with some contact of over 160 Km with 2,5W in FM. All the repeaters of Piemonte and Liguria were easy opened. So I’m satisfied with my job. The SOTA activity was also good with 40 qso in 1 hour. Thanks to all chasers

Nice to hear your report from i/lg-007 because I was testing my new Slim Jim antenna and the QRB seems about 160 Km. Not so bad for 5w FM.!
