Thanks for the comments. All very sensible and while I have always hidden everything out of site, I will be cutting down the amount I take with me - difficult on multi-day expeditions but quite possible for a single day’s outing like yesterday’s.
You make an interesting comment about where to park with respect to other vehicles. As it happens, mine is quite tall anyway. I would add this: in view of the boldness of these thieves, I believe they were intent on doing the entire line of vehicles of which mine was the first. So, notwithstanding your comment, don’t park at the end of a line!
