me! NO SOTAs, though. And NO FT8.

6 m VK to Europe has been on for the last two weeks. Mainly VK4s. Thursday night a bunch of VK5s worked EU. Norm VK3DUT had 60 spots. He has 4 x 7 ele Quad ant which probably helps.
I looked for SOTA stations but had to make do with 4 Finish stations. Best received was +18 dB on FT8 and my 3 element beam.
It’s only taken me 63 years with small antennas to do this.

28mhz was buzzing…So I checked out 50mhz and heard N1BUG in FN55 59 Worked him on a Vertical that’s not for 6. Heard quite a few others as well but not worked. Might put my 2 ele Quad up for next year. I put the post on here to just give everyone the heads up seeing as it was the Transatlantic event going on as well. Did not notice any 50mhz Sota spots on the day. I don’t work FT8 just SSB/CW.

6M has been kind on the SSB side of things
This week managed to reach VO then states side into NY ME MA states and even better 9K2 station was reached and worked in Asia of all places all in SSB mode via the 4 El Wire HB Quad beam and 90w 
DO NOTE THIS IS Rare event enjoy it as when the 25cycle starts to decline that will be it for another 11 years till next cycle peak off the F2 layers and the MUF peaking well into the 40Mhz zone upper part of awaiting it to hit 50mkhz as yet.
By way don’t wait and listen put out calls on ya VO button of rig you be surprised to whom replies LOL.
