I shall be QRV on 20m on Sunday (EU) morning for any possible DX.
I noticed the same at my end. Listened to the NCDX beacons on 14.100 every 15 minutes or so and can confirm that I the ZL2B beacon came in very loud, the VK6RBP beacon was barely audible. But the VK beacon is located in the west coast of Australia …
Listening to the beacons for three minutes before starting the activation can give you a general idea of the current propagation …
I will try 20m LP today from 0600 UTC. Sunset is at 0815 UTC.

20m open to Europe, so far I have worked Poland, Germany and Austria. Great to work Herbert OE9HRV S2S
Edit. Excellent signals from G4AIR Cornwall and G3IRQ.

I activated Mt Taylor in south Canberra to see if I could also work into Austria and other EU countries. With 15w and a ZS6BKW doublet on CW I worked DL/DJ, OK, KG5, DL6, DK4,w6, JG0, and on ssb OE9, (ZL2, VK1), SM4, KG5. Then on 40m worked a few VK and ZL then was called by CT2IWW on 7032, big surprise. After that, more VK and ZL, then two VK on 80m cw. One was VK3BYD who had listened for me on 40m and could not hear me. The solar storm was certainly making its mark on 40m. Very long skip.

Did a quick activation of Eiskogel OE/OO-084 this morning. Left home 15 minutes earlier than the last time to be on the summit before sunrise. Today I even had time to set up the station before enjoying this beautiful sunrise:
After that worked 24 chasers on 20m and 2m … including three DX @VK5PAS @VK1MA @VK4NH
Thanks for all the contacts!

Kangaroos have taken up residence next to me on Mt Stromlo. Where is the 20m skip…
8 QSOs over 90 minutes. DX: one ZL and two DLs. Sorry Heinz I did not hear your signal on 14.325.

I saw a spot from you while I was still in the cable car bur by the time I got set up on DL/AM-060 today some Italian station had taken over your frequency Andrew. Shame as I heard a couple of other VKs (3 and 5) a little later but couldn’t break into their pile-ups of course!
