Well done Mike. I’m happy just to get the odd one when I go out… then again, I’m not a professional like you.

Nice to be with Mike for his 1000th s2s today, pity VR2XMT Charlie wasn`t on a summit in Hong Kong when we worked him on 12m - he could have been 1001 if HK had an association hi.
In reply to G4ASA:
Mickey your a Legend.
Great to work you today.

Well done Mike and sorry to have missed you. Good to meet you again at Telford & hope you had a good day.
I am very sorry not to have joined in the Tuesday S2S day this week but other commitments.
Hope for s2s from LD next week, weather permitting.

Thanks for the s2s yesterday and I’m delighted that you have reached

Extremely well done Mike in achieving your goal of 1000 S2S contacts. What is your next goal ?
I understand your love of S2S contacts, they are always special to me. I guess that remains so even after a 1000 of them. I am envious of the amount of activations that you manage but just not possible with work and my location. I was pleased that on my recent quick activation of F/NO-026 I managed 5 S2S contacts.

Fantastic stuff Mike. Your arms must be like Popeye’s carrying all those SLABs up and down!

Ooo, are you and Viki in LD next week? If so we’ll also be looking for S2S, since we’ll be Ambleside based from Friday. Our weather permitting list includes
007 Fairfield
008 Blencathra
010 St Sunday Crag
019 High Raise
024 Pike of Blisco
035 Great Mell Fell
040 Lingmoor Fell
047 Loughrigg Fell
051 Holme Fell
056 Whitbarrow
Unfortunately the weather forecast suggests the weather might not permit

Yes, based at Lamplug (& Keswick) and planned to do pretty well anything north of Ennerdale and west of Thirlmere. Plus a few others, depending on conditions.
Unfortunately the weather forecast suggests the weather might not
permit
It does indeed, so plans are in shambles and we shall just have to see how it goes. I think we might have to resort to our tactics used in Scotland this Spring (?); short walks up sheltered little hills.
Hope we all get some decent weather and manage at least a few s2s.
Speak soon,
73, Rod
In reply to G4AFI:
Many thanks all for the nice words.
Most of the hard work was done by the other activators and so a big thanks goes to them for putting on the the summits.
In reply to G4AFI:

Hi Andrew, I’m chipping away at S2S contacts with all the GW/MW and GW/SW summits, and these are proving quite challenging.
So far, I have 19 0f the 41 SW summits and 20 of the 40 MW summits.
