I am primarily a CW operator, but I like to stay up to date on the latest digital modes. In the past, I have been active in contests and Dxpeditions. I like to chase DX and have worked and confirmed all countries mixed mode and lack about 5 each on SSB and CW. I am past director of the ARRL and served 10 years on the board. I started as an SWL at age 10 in 1958 and became licensed in 1963. I received a diploma in electronics in 1966 and then studied Economics in college before attending the Univ of Colorado graduate school of business. I started a consumer/commercial electronics company in Colorado in 1972. I spent my early career as a recording/broadcast engineer, consumer electronics sales/design consultant, and today I am a business manager at the consumer/commercial technology sales and contracting firm I founded. I have remained engaged in ham radio throughout my life. My XYL is K0ZV and my son is W0ERS.
