Just to give you a brief run down on my amateur radio back ground. I have been licensed since 1971 and was primarily interested in VHF dx-ing and Aurora contacts. Noting that it was a lot easier to work Aurora on CW I upgraded to my present Class A callsign - GM4COX- in 1973.

I have never been seriously active on HF but have taken part in many HF contests in conjunction with my radio club based in Glasgow GM4AGG (Amateur Glasgow Group) www.wosars.club of which I was a founding member in 1970. I was also active in the 1980’s in VHF/UHF contesting as member of the South of Scotland Contest Group. Good times.
