VK1DI achieves Mountain Goat award

Congratulations to Ian VK1DI on achieving Mountain Goat status this morning by activating Mt Majura in Canberra. Ian first activated this summit on 1st Feb 2013 when vk1 became active in sota. Ian played an important role in getting the surveys done for VK1 and VK2. He has since travelled far and wide in Australia to activate summits in vk1,2,3,4,5 and was the first to activate many vk1 and Vk2 summits.

On behalf of all the vk1 SOTA group, congrats Ian.

Yes has taken me 4 years to get to Mountain goat, and a lot of driving around VK1,2,3,4 and 5. It was a pleasure to help with getting VK1 and VK2 SOTA up and running.

Many thanks to all for chasing and S2S contacts over the years, especially the VK1 SOTA guys. I enjoyed the sounds of goats today :smile:
