The hiking trail to Grizzly Col gave early views of Mount Tyrwhitt before leaving the tree line, and views of a stone arch on Tyrwhitt shoulder.
After reaching Grizzly Col the ascent became steep and loose through unstable inconsistent rubble, very challenging…
On the summit VE6IXD quickly setup and activated the peak on 17m while VA6MCB yet again frizzed around with his antenna.before using VE6IXD antenna on 20m for the requisite QSOs. Our descent was easier although the rubble slopes offered little opportunity for scree running.
All and all another fine ascent, with the briefest of snow fall and rain.
