I would just like to say a big thank you to all chasers who made my first summit activation a very rewarding thing to do on a cold Sunday. This is an enjoyable learning curve.
G/WB-010 The Wrekin seemed a lot steeper today, but this is probably my age! The ice and snow on the way up and down was considerable and very slippy indeed. I stopped counting how many times I fell over in the end…
I was using an FT-817, running 5w (via a slab) into a portable dipole which I have just bought this week off Sota Beams and I am very happy with it.
Once again, a big thank you to all who made contact with me (or tried to).
I hope I managed to get around to you all. A special thanks must go to David 2E0DAI for his help.
73’s and here’s to the next one!
