Thanks Mike - its interesting to hear what its like at the “other end”. I remember how slow the activation was going at around 0900 utc in February. It shows what a difference being spotted makes.

Tom - I can smell the Radeberger pils on your clip.

In reply to G1INK:
Not everyone is as strong as Tom and Inky here - believe me.
Radeberger Pils sounds wonderful - wakes up old memories. The closest I can come to it here, is Carlsberg :-(.
See u on the bands.

Terrible condx in LA today. Did not hear most of the spottet stations, and cw QSOs were marginal.
Listen to DL/PA3FYG/p and his qso partners (i used 500 watts)

maybe there should be a place for us to upload our mp3- or wav-files (like flickr for photos, youtube for videos)??

Hi Mike,

thanks for the fb recording. Amazingly weak signal from my side I’d tend to say. My setup was as usual: 8m whip + wire counterpoise on the ground, a homebrewn z-match and the Blue Cool Radio running 5W. The chasers’ signals on the summit were differing from S9+ down to barely audible.

Hello Mike,

thank’s for the recording. Your signals were 59+ on 40 m yesterday. Later I tried 20 m with no luck, the band was full with lighthouses. Then I switched to 10 m and the band was open to the UK, not to south europe as usual. I was very surprised to work stations from G, GW and EI for over one hour!
I hope to meet you again,
