SOTA flag flying high over W4G/NG-031

High winds, bordering on gale force, on the Glassy Mountain summit in North Georgia today.

I’m intrigued by how you got permission to do that or if the flagpole was open with no one around. I like it. Looks like a rough day for an activation with that wind.

It’s an unmanned fire tower/antenna site that is open to the public. The pole wasn’t locked down, so I raised the flag while I was doing the activation.

Portable anemometer showed gale force gusts at the top of the fire tower.
