Something more interesting

#1

Right rather than arg^H^H^Hdiscussing new scoring systems, here’s something much more interesting: aerial photos of the far North of Scotland including Ben Loyal and Ben Hope under snow.

http://www.alanmoar.flyer.co.uk/Snow/Benhope/benhope.htm is a good place to start but just wander about and drink in the splendour.

In particular: http://www.alanmoar.flyer.co.uk/Snow/Benhope/005.htm is worth studying especially if you’ve been up the hill.

http://www.alanmoar.flyer.co.uk/Snow/Benhope/012.htm shows the view up the Northern ridge. The bad step is just at the base of some cloud and is obvious if you know where to look.

Not aerial photographs but for a close up of the bad step see http://www.corbetteer.co.uk/munros/tr/ben_hope/w1000.jpg

Be very careful if you start exploring the corbetteer website… you’ll lose 2 or 3 hours and wont know where they’ve gone!
