Results trip 23-25 febr. to Ardennes

Cold, fog, snow on the ground, mud, pools with 10 cm high water, but big fun and good contacts.
Even better, xyl wants to go with me the next time again.

On the way to the hotel:

From Marche en Farmenne:

( did not activate this on in dec. 2010, got stuck in the snow that time )

On the way back home:
25/Feb/2011 ON/ON-020 (Bois de Viné) 73 qso’s
25/Feb/2011 ON/ON-018 (A la Plate) 31 qso’s
25/Feb/2011 ON/ON-010 (Fraiture) 59 qso’s, I used the new ( 2011 ) location.
Fraiture as a bonus only because xyl said, let us do a detour before going home and get the 8+3 points extra!!! ( That’s the spirit )

Many new call signs for me.
Never called much longer then 5 minutes before the pile-up started.
After 1400-1500z the QRM was heavy.
All on 40mtr ssb.
FT897D 25W in 12 mtr vertical ( Fishing rod, tuner and 3 radials )

Good idea, it has been a long time ago that I was in the Lake District, 1984/1985?. We had sun all time!!
I will see if xyl agrees, but I guess it will be a caravan holiday this year and I like to travel to UK without one.
XYL Jose still likes SOTA, she mailed me today if I can take a day off and go 4 day to DM/NS ( Harz ) in April!! She told me to look first if the were 10 pointers hi hi.
