OE Update October 1, 2015

#1

We prepared a major evaluation of our summits and submitted the required files last week. There are new summits that are to be added by Oct 1 (in fact today) and the non-compliant summits are going to become invalid on Dec 31, 2015.
I have now been asked whether the new summits can be activated even if the database does not yet reflect the change?
What is the procedure?

Hi Sylvia,

The database was updated by me a couple of hours ago. SOTAwatch may take a few days to catch up. All activations of the new summits from 0000z today will be valid.

!! INSANE !!
THIS MEANS 55% OF OE2-SUMMITS WILL BE DELETED BY 2016

It does seem bad for the SB region however overall the new summit code numbers indicated in Andy’s post about the OE summits being added in 2015 - over 1000 new OE summits are being added, I guess these are not in OE2 however.
