New summit website pages

GI trip #10: Donald’s Hill GI/SM-013

http://tomread.co.uk/donald’s_hill_sm-013.htm

Horrible featureless midge-infested tedious bog of a hill. Might return someday to do the trig point which is fortunately much nearer the road. Not sure if it is in the activation zone though.

GI trip #11: Crockdooish GI/SM-020

http://tomread.co.uk/crockdooish_sm-020.htm

The last summit of our trip to the Sperrins area, and we will definitely be back to tackle the bigger hills in the region. This page also has pictures from our visits to Bushmills and White Park Bay en route back to Larne.

GI trip #12: Big Collin GI/AH-008

http://tomread.co.uk/big.htm

Evening outing to grab an extra bonus SOTA 10m/6m Challenge multiplier - and to avoid the tedium of the X Factor on telly.

This was the 12th and final activation of my August GI trip.

Thanks, Tom M1EYP

A few odds and ends tidied up so that The Cloud G/SP-015 and Gun G/SP-013 pages are up-to-date too. Near the bottom of the G/SP-015 page, you can see the photos of the new (to us) path investigated by Liam and I.

http://tomread.co.uk → click on the SOTA index, etc etc

My website is completely up-to-date, with reports, details, photos and logs appearing on an individual webpage (all indexed) of every one of the 1791 activations I have done - so far…

And relax…

Tom M1EYP

Big effort, Tom. Interesting reading and viewing.
It’s an interesting confluence of skills; maths, music and morse. They do go hand in hand, so often.

Thanks Andrew. Indeed, music is an audible version of mathematics, and the theory and notation of music is entirely mathematical. Mr Pythagoras had a big part to play in the development of both I believe.

There is no doubt that I found morse “fairly”* easy to learn because I was already an experienced musician. *(It still took a fair bit of effort and determination!).

I suppose 400 activator uniques is the next target now. Which will mean yet more pages on my website! Nice to know someone out there is reading it anyway!

Thought I’d better do a bit on the website. Couldn’t let it get to a full year without an update!

As it is, I’ve still got loads to do. The reports, photos, pages etc are all complete up to December 31st 2015. So I’ve still got all this year’s to so…

Anyway, it’s all on http://tomread.co.uk

Click on SOTA on the left-hand side (menu pane) and go from there.

The ones to select from the index (that have been updated with new reports, routes, photos etc) are:

The next series of updates will be for mine and Jimmy’s trip to GI/SW and GI/SM.

But for now … another activation methinks. I did say I wanted to check out 17m at evening time - well here goes…

I will now have some breathing space for a few days, as I no longer have a car so can’t get out activating. I may have to hire something for the Snowdonia trip, but there’s a chance I may have my new motor by then. We will see.

So I finished ^^^^

…and then I failed to start again for a year :open_mouth:

Well I’ve started again now anyway. So what have I got for you?

Only got four month’s worth to catch up on now. That wouldn’t be so bad - if I didn’t do so many activations …

That most exhilarating of mountains…

G/TW-004 Bishop Wilton Wold TW-004

The football photos are more interesting though - even if you hate football!
