After a few problems the SOTA MT are pleased to announce 2 new associations and a major association update.
Firstly VK4 has had a major update. At this point you must excuse me because I don’t know how many new summits there are.
Secondly we’re pleased to welcome VK6 to SOTA. I know of a couple of UK SOTA activators who happen to make regular trips to Perth and the area who are pleased with this development. They’re not the only ones as some of the VK6 guys have been getting desperate waiting for this one to come online.
Finally, please welcome KP4 Puerto Rico. This is our first association in The Caribbean. This has been a long time coming and we’ve had small snag with the upload. There is another region for KP4 still to come. That should be uploaded in the next 24hours.
Apart from KP4/CU, you can now log activations and chases in VK4, VK6 and KP4. Once we get KP4/CU in place, Jon will import these new summits into SOTAwatch and you will be able to spot and alert them. Jimmy M0HGY will be ensure that ARMs get placed on line ASAP.
I’ll leave the new association managers to introduce themselves.
In the meantime, thanks go to Jim, Peter, Csaba & Tom and the AMs and their helpers for putting the data together.
KP4 Puerto Rico has now been fully loaded to the database. The missing region/summit has been added and the one which had gone for a swim has been rescued and put back on land!
Big effort Dave, I can appreciate what it takes after doing a couple of the VK6 Regions.
If you couldn’t find a summit to activate from in that lot, I don’t think you’d be trying very hard. Getting some activators will come, we are in the same boat in VK6. I’m confident we have a few after Mike’s VK6MB activation yesterday. Heading out to do my first one on Sunday afternoon. 06:00 08:00 UTC. might even be a bit earlier. Alerts to follow in next day or so.
