Start was the place Kröv, a small village in the Mosel valley.
The path led us in a zigzag on agricultural paths always up for Mosel-trail “M”. In a westerly direction until crossing trail No. 7. This comes from Kinheim and results in direct increase to the Kinheimer chapel just below the “Kinheimer -Höhe”. Walking time about 2 hours.
Apart from the usual walking equipment this time were additionally attended:
1 QRP 3-band transceiver HB-1A, 2 LiPo´s 11.1V 1700mAh, MP1 antenna, 10 m coax cable. , a small Palm-morse-key, headphones and a small writing pad.
The construction site was no problem. Sitting on the floor, the writing pad on the legs, I started the activation.
After the first small Pilup was then all on the small not fixed pad: the paperlog, the Morse key and the pencil always in motion and always where I could not use it.
Nothing with a restful SOTA activation — pure stress.
Conclusion:
There is a lot to improve … nevertheless I had a lot of fun … it will not be the last activation.
Thanks again to everyone with whom I had contact. on the occasion of my first SOTA activation.
