My first activation - W5A/BR-007 Arkansas

Tomorrow morning my wife and I will head to Northwest Arkansas to do at least one activation, perhaps two in the area where we typically do quite a bit of rock climbing. This will be my first activation, we’ve been doing a bit of portable operation near home to get ready so we’ll see how things go.

How long does it take for an alert to show up on Sotamaps? I can see mine in the database but it’s not posting on the map.

be aware that many activators got SOTA addicted on their first activation :wink:
Have a lot of fun and good dx!

Not sure about the alerts on SOTAmaps. I think most chasers are looking up alerts and spots on SOTAwatch. They do show up immediately there.
