Looking Europe SP from VK6 today

I’m doing a night time activation tonight Western Australian time probably around 13:00-15:00 UTC. Not sure if conditions will allow any contacts into Europe The summit is Mt.Cooke VK6/SW-031 and I will be overnight camping at the campsite about 30 mins walk from the summit.

You do not get many activation’s at this time of night so it might be a chance to get a VK6 Summit in the log. Alerts have been posted, so finger crossed. Keep an eye for 20 meter spots.

I will go back up again on Sunday morning and do a lightweight CW only activation with the MTR and also do Mt.Randall VK6/SW-039 on my way back home later in the day also with the MTR.

Hi John,
According to VOCAP, the best band at this time of day would be 15m for the short path into Europe, does your antenna do 21MHz (perhaps on its 40m setting)?
