LD this weekend

Hi, everyone.

You’ll see I’ve posted a few LD activations over the next couple of days. This isn’t going to be a normal ‘ERP operation. Actually it’s not really a normal SOTA outing.

I’ll be travelling light (radio-wise). Saturday and Sunday are a two-day high-level round so I’ve got other stuff to carry as well as radios – like a tent etc. Due to the nature of the terrain, I can’t guarantee timing. Safety has to come first.

I’ll be using the FT817 barefoot but I’m not compromising on antennas so the 6 ele and 4m mast are coming along. So, I will be able to hear you better than you can hear me (probably). I’ve got about 30 minutes operating time on each summit if the batteries are to last all six activations (usual 1400 pack plus a new 2850 pack). I’ll need to be quick and your help with this venture will be much appreciated.

I hope to work you tomorrow.

Hi again.

Just to be clear, it’s business as usual again on Monday with 50W from the FT857.

Usual cavetas apply regarding our great British weather, of course.

In reply to G4ERP:

Hi Richard,

Will be listening for your sigs whenever possible.

Hopefully Scafell will not be too much of an obstacle in this direction!

In reply to G4ERP:

Hi Richard

There’s a chance I will be listening for you, about a 100% chance hi.

Have a great weekend and I’ll catch you on as many as possible.

In reply to GW0DSP:

Thanks, both. See you tomorrow and Sunday hopefully.
