The most activated Norwegian Sota summit.
Our The Cloud.
Activation often rigt at the point where it is placed a navigation light for Skien Airport. The mast has a red lamp at 266M or 873FT Located at GPS 591015N 0093200E.
It is also a wooden structure with top marker. It is not recommended climbing the tower due to aging wood. But no warning or access forbidden sign.
Access to the summit is relative easy in summer 7-15 min depending on speed.
About 100m height to climb and rout about 5-700 meter.
In winter with high snow it is time consuming see earlier photos from LA1ENA, LA1TPA and LA1KHA.
I will try to activate this more often on 10.120-cw and 145.550-fm

“Our The Cloud”. Very funny Kjell, FB. Hey I haven’t even been there since Wednesday!
I see Holtankollen is an easily accessible summit then, like G/SP-015, and it is popular and repeated. As you know, The Cloud is a walk of less than 0.5km with only 75m of height gain, so only a 5 or 10 minute ascent (similar to LA/TM-049) which makes it easy for activators to do as well as other things on the same day (like other summits, or family outings, or even going to work hi!).
Activation on 5. September 2009
qrv for 45 min from summit from 1600
7 QSO on 10MHz cw with DL,G and HB9.
1 QSO on 7MHz CW with OK. 1 s2s QSO with OK2BDF/p on OK/VY-038

KX1 displayed a E in display and my 3,5 and 10Mhz unit was not accessible.
The antenna tuning unit did not work. At my aging stage (soon 45y) I believe glasses are mandatory in the rucksack.Could not read the super mini print on my portable programming chart. I called up LA1ENA Aage and he read the instruction for restarting and enrolling the faulty units. Thanks Aage. Soon back on air. Power out some 1w and battery 10.6volt.
