Kitt Hill what again LOL

#1

Morning folks

Well it started out as join in the 2m contest from Kitt hill and take me beam up there etc. But then thought sod it take me HF gear as well and go up little earlier and set up both antennas on such a bright lovely morning.

Come on 07:00UTC were on air and clocking some stations already bands not too bad till about 08:15 when they seemed to wain off and go to sleep as i sat by the trig point on the summit. Whilst running the Sota side of things.

And yes one day will venture to another Sota LOL. But useful to catch few more S2S’s and me very first S2S on 2m as well. Well pleased with as only took couple minutes to move from car and push onto the trig point so not connected to the car at time whilst holding and talking and trying to write down details as well not easy but funny.

So here’s the list of contacts to G/DC-003 Sunday 10/6/18

Thanks for both the S2S’s Karl from the midgey summit of Place Fell.

. (View towards Fairfield). This was my first quick SOTA activation in the lakes - plesantly suprised by the 70 min drive to the start - hopefully will do a few more LD summits this summer! 73 Paul

Karl

Great to work you yesterday and your single was great all things considered.

What do you use to “protect”/transport the 857D to the summit while in a pack?

Paul
