K6HPX Achieves Triple Goat!

Today Ken (K6HPX) achieved “Triple Goat” status. To commemorate the day, Ken and Kay (KE7BGM) performed triple 10-point activations including Antelope Mountain (W7A/AE-022), Wahl Knoll (W7A/AP-005) and Coyote Hills (W7A/AP-037) in the beautiful White Mountains of Northern Arizona.

Please congratulate Ken as he becomes the eleventh Triple Goat in North America!

Wow! Congratulations @K6HPX Ken! You and Kay are both amazing hikers and activators!

Sorry I missed chasing you today, long work day in Phoenix. But I always am happy to hear your signal, usually on 60 or 30m. And, always happy to hear your unique ending to a QSO.

Congrats to Ken. Sorry I missed you on the air when u went over the top but I was out of state all last week.

No clue that you were that close to 3000 points as your total still shows below 3000 points in the database.

I figure u will be passing me soon as AZ’s premier activator…us working guys don’t have a chance to keep up with u retired guys!

Ken,

Triple Goat is a significant accomplishment, and it is not easy which explains the small number in that rare herd. How many hiking boots did you wear out on all those trail miles? I’m sure you and Kay have had an enjoyable time in the beautiful Arizona backcountry. Congratulations!
