J28 in SOTA soon?

Received From Jean Claude, J28JA
“ This afternoon, I, (J28JA) and Mala J20MD are going to the Arta Piton at abt 800m asl, over the Goubhet Gorges.
We will settle a 83m round loop.
At nignt we will try to be active on 80 and 160m QRP.
We will be on the air from that QTH, until Friday 29th in the evening.
QSL J28JA via F5JFU and QSL J20MB via F4FMI.

Two hams in Djibouti involved in SOTA ???

Managed to contact J28JA/Jean-Claude on 40m last night but he was not signing /P so do not know if he was on the summit or not. Either way it was a new DXCC for me so well pleased.

worked Jean-Claude last night at 22:33utc, he was signing as J28JA/p,
so it seems he was on this summit.
So sad that Djibouti isn´t already joining the SOTA programm :wink:

Not only Djibouti, I worked several F stations from summits in SSB before SOTA program was introduced in France, also UN7QX from a summit in Kazakhstan, etc… etc…
Well, I think we are lucky to have some new countries coming in SOTA program nowadays… And even if not in SOTA ref, the contact is still a pleasure…
