I/PM-204

Hi to all,

yesterday I had activated this summit near my home during IARU contest. I activated I/PM-204 on 432 Mhz band and also 144 Mhz band in SSB and FM with other SOTA activator on I/LO-182.
I work with only 2,5 watts all my QSO’s by my Yaesu FT 817ND, telescopic antenna 144/430 dual band and 6 A/h lead battery.

I’m happy for new italian summit references and I hope that this nice work is very good for the future!

I hope to hear yours callsigns in HF band, but also I work more in VHF and UHF bands.
I’m also alpine rescuer and I hope to work many high summits in the future!

Many thanks and best 73’s!

and sorry for my english…

Andrea

Hi, Andrea

Enjoy your activations from your beatiful summits. Hope to hear you on HF soon.
For my HF-Equipment I use a LiFePo4 battery which is half the weight of a lead battery and delivers about 12 to13 V over a long time. For 2 hours of operation with 5 to 10 W a 2Ah battery schould be sufficient. You can save weight and take a larger antenna:grinning:

Thanks for the report!

I’ll second the vote for LiFePo4, they’re very convenient and light!
I went for a couple of ZIPPY Flightmax 4200mAh 4S1P 30C LiFePo4 Pack from HobbyKing
