My blog has a couple of near Auckland summits on it, Mt Eden and Rangitoto being the easiest.

There are a few near by summits in Auckland. ZL1/AK-023 Mt Eden is the easiest. ZL1/WK-158 Puketutu, ZL1/AK-011 Moir and as Andrew mentioned Rangitoto Island are all doable. My blog is linked from the summit details on sota.org.uk. Enjoy - I hope to be able to work you. de ZL2AJ (AM for ZL1)
