I think Marco was asking if anyone would be streaming it - as he can’t attend - he was not offering to do it - do you have the possibility as you’ll be there Frank?

I wont have the technology with me that the team had last year - in fact the ICQPodcast team (apart from myself) won’t be at FN this year.

Thank you Jürg, President of HB9SOTA for your lead organisation of today’s event. The two hour SOTA event as well as the show overall, made for a most interesting day for many enthusiasts of SOTA.

I’d like to join with Phil in thanking Jürg HB9BIN and Paul HB9DST and everyone else for organising the 2nd SOTA Information Session. All the talks were good with lots of thought provoking ideas. It was good to see the bigger room full and also to meet so many SOTA chasers and activators.

May I add my thanks to SOTA Switzerland for organising the SOTA session and also my personal thanks to those who were able to make the SOTA dinner on Friday evening. Despite the incoming storm “a good time was had by all”. Special thanks to John DK9JC and Luc ON7DQ for the photos below:

And don’t forget - next year Ham Radio at Friedrichshafen is in July, not June:

24/7/2016 - added some more pictures of the SOTA Dinner - thanks Andrew VK1DA/VK2UH.

PowerPoint presentations from the 2016 SOTA Information Session at Ham Radio Friedrichshafen have now been posted on the HB9SOTA website.

We hope those who attended found the meeting worthwhile. And remember, we are already starting to look for topics to cover at next year’s SOTA Information Session. If you have an idea for a talk, get in touch with Juerg HB9BIN. (Keep in mind that next year the dates for Ham Radio Friedrichshafen have been moved by one month from June to July 14 - 16, 2017.)
