Congratulations, Jürg!
There must have been some confusion, since everybody expected you to give not your SOTA reference but exact WW QTH locator plus serial numbers in the IARU Region-1 VHF Contest…
Shame on me that I didn’t even give it a try. Even though I am VHF fan, I didn’t even turn on my IC-910, but I did not want to have useless excitement because of the 1-200 kHz wide splatter from Mr. QRM (HA5KDQ operated by HA5IW from HA/KM-021)…
Sorry that you did not erect your HF antenna, so we did not make a QSO…
Well, Jürg, up to the next 1000 and hope to meet you many times!

Hi, Joska!
Thanks for your reply and the congrads.
I told the contest-crews my sota reference, they had no chance to ignore it, hi. Some were perhaps confused when I told “You are 59-009 (or so) in JO30JK, that’s Sota DM/RP-022”…
With the German DO-license are only some HF bands allowed (160m/80m/15m/10m)and 2m/70cm/10 GHz. On 10m I had a short qso to HA during my last holiday, let’s have a look, yes HA7UG when I was on DM/BW-014.
For sota I use the Yaesu FT-857 for HF, about 50 Watts out in a wire antenna.
Power source: a “heavey weight” 17 AH battery (6kg).
I prefer SSB, my CW is too bad, hi.
